About the General Semantics Bulletin

Until 2010, the General Semantics Bulletin served as the yearbook for the Institute of General Semantics.

History

In 1949-50, M. Kendig, Education Director for the Institute of General Semantics from its inception in 1938, began publication of the General Semantics Bulletin. Although originally conceived as a semi-annual publication for members, the GSB evolved into a yearbook of the Institute.

In 2010, the Institute of General Semantics decided to stop publishing the General Semantics Bulletin and make ETC: A Review of General Semantics the sole purveyor of general semantics articles and IGS news. The final issue of the General Semantics Bulletin was published later that year, completing a run of 76 volumes.
